The great thing about the MET, among all of the great things about the MET, is that not only do they broadcast operas to movie theaters, but they also send some straight to my tv at home (via KUED). This opera was wonderful. Angela Gheorghiu plays Magda, and her real life husband, Roberto Alagna, plays Ruggero her love. That made it especially fun. It is definitely a chick flick opera though, and will leave you wishing that someone would sing to you that way. :) Bravo.
